THE CASTLE OF REZZONICO Crenellated walls surround the 14th century Castle of Rezzonico, which was probably built by the Della Torre family on the ruins of a former fort. The Castle, whose layout is trapezoidal, has three crenellated towers, one of which has arched windows and is higher than the others. An arched portal leads visitors inside the walls to a garden which slopes down to the lake. A few steps from the highest tower you find a small church called “church of the Wise Men”, leaning on the castle’s walls. On the top of the front door there is a painting portraying the Wise Men and a niche hosting the statue of St. Anthony.
